A Truly Special Day for Mom at Terrace Park

Hundreds of smiling moms and other happy family members celebrated Mother’s Day at Terrace Park, Dream Development’s innovative “park” neighbourhood in the community of Laurel Green in southeast Edmonton. This special event day, in recognition of all our mom’s, was celebrated throughout the four master-built show homes and in the central park setting of Terrace Park.  

Not only did celebrations include tours of some incredible new home designs that every mother could love, including a spectacular master suite, ensuite and kitchen layouts, but there were special activities, gifts and refreshments for everyone in the family. Dream Development, in cooperation with their show home builders Homes by Avi and Landmark Homes set up a beautiful picnic in the park on an almost perfect sunny day. Everyone enjoyed savoury strawberry shortcake, gourmet coffees and teas, plus many other great refreshments. 

While guests enjoyed the tasty fare, children were especially excited to make mom smile as the happy sound of laughter resonated through Terrace Park. Kids squealed with delight as they entered a world of colourful adventure inside the Pixar Cars themed bouncy castle. Adults and children alike explored their creative whims as a balloon twister and airbrush tattoo artist brought their quirky designs to life. Terrace Park’s new playground was also a huge crowd favourite, with delighted kids climbing, running, and playing on the beautifully appointed equipment and grounds. 

The first 100 mom’s to attend the event were given a potted mini rose to plant. These beautiful flowers were gone within two hours. If you were too late to snag one, there’s always next year! 

For added excitement, visitors could enter to win a $250 Home Depot gift card. These draws run until May 26th, with the winner notified on May 27th. It’s not too late to head to the show homes and enter!

Terrace Park’s single-family laned homes were busy all day with hundreds of potential new homeowners. Show home builders - Homes by Avi and Landmark Homes – showcased several upgraded detached garage homes styles with prices starting from the $300’s. These well-crafted homes offer an assortment of extra features including generous front porches (some with glass railing), front and backyard landscaping, low maintenance vinyl fencing and access to a vast green space park.
