Amenities to Improve Your Quality of Life
Imagine strolls through manicured parks, walking your children to go swimming or other recreational activities nearby, kids walking home from school, and spending some well-deserved me time brunching with friends at the new restaurants nearby. Welcome to life this summer in Laurel Green.

Wonderful Morning Walks Around The Lake
There’s nothing better than a relaxing stroll around the lake with your dog on a calm Saturday morning. This summer, landscaping of the community’s beautiful six-acre lake and walking path network will be completed making this a must do weekly activity for anybody wanting to de-stress from the work week. Need to take a minute? No problem. Chill out along the way at one of the park benches while you watch the morning sun rise and watch your pet explore nature.

Year Around Activities at the Community Rec Center
Enjoy long summer days without hearing “I’m bored” from the kids. Walk them over to the Meadows Recreation Center for year-round fun and activities like swimming, sliding down the water slide, tennis, pick-up baseball games, impromptu soccer matches, reading in the library, children’s summer camps and many other great activities.

Great Shopping and Dining Just Minutes Away
Shop at Winners, pick up groceries at Superstore, and then grab some dinner at Swiss Chalet or Popeye’s Chicken at Dream Tamarack, just 5-minutes from Laurel Green. Closer to home are the many new stores of Tamarack Common Shopping Centre which includes a new Bank Of Montreal, Brown’s Social House and a Tim Hortons. Tamarack Common is a short 10-minute walk away and adjacent to Laurel Green at the corner of 17 Street and 23 Avenue.

New K-9 School Opens This September
This fall children will be able to walk to school from many community homes if they are enrolled in the Svend Hansen Public School. If you’re at a loss for babysitters on days off, or after school, Svend Hansen’s affiliated day care provides childcare services for those aged 5-12 years old, starting in the Fall.
